Here you’ll find general questions we’re asked on a daily basis…
Hotel Trader is an entirely new category. We are a technology-first B2B platform that facilitates direct relationships between Hotels and Travel Buyers through The Exchange, a self-regulating network built with absolute purpose.
Hotel Trader only connects directly to PMS/CRS systems, avoiding switches, channel managers, third-party APIs, and bed banks for sourcing inventory. There are no tech layers.
Additionally, our proprietary business intelligence suite gives full visibility into the behavior of Travel Buyers, empowering you to unlock opportunities to increase your ADR, reclaim margins and grow revenue while protecting rate integrity.
Unlike a typical marketplace, the Hotel Trader Exchange adds oversight and accountability. We use alignment scores and daily checks to ensure fairness and accuracy, rather than just listing hotels without monitoring.
The Exchange also removes unnecessary layers (such as multiple channel managers), reducing data mismatches and complexity.
By connecting directly with hotels, we become the single source of truth — providing real-time data, eliminating rate gaps, and giving full access to all rate strategies and promotions set by hotel revenue managers.
Because a PMS or CRS are the hotel’s single source of truth. Connecting directly ensures accurate, real-time data, removes rate gaps, and gives full access to all rate strategies and promotions set by hotel revenue managers.
By sourcing rates only from the PMS or CRS – the source of truth – with no intermediaries and no tech layers – we are able to offer Travel Buyers 100% accuracy in ARI and zero booking failures.
Hotel Trader is currently connected to the following PMS/CRS’s:
We are continually adding new PMS and CRS connections, so check back or reach out if you do not see your PMS or CRS here.
If you do not see your CRS on our list, please reach out via our contact form. We are always adding new CRS connections and hotel inquiries are among the ways we determine what CRS connections will take priority. We can notify you once your CRS connection has been made.
There is no delay before rate changes or updates go live. The moment a change is made, that information is instantly sent to The Exchange via push API. The ARI in our system always matches the ARI in the PMS or CRS of our Hotels.
Through our Alignment Score, we track Hotel pricing vs. the market in real time and flag when Hotels are out of sync – so they can take action immediately.
One commercial agreement with Hotel Trader will give you access to the full inventory of The Exchange without individual agreement with the Hotels.
Hotel Trader centralizes payments, operations and support into its core services so you don’t have to.

Hotel Trader does not support Group Bookings at this time however we can support up to 9 bookings at the same time.
Hotel Trader’s primary focus is on private distribution, however we’re able to facilitate partnerships where rates are made publicly available as well.
We have a dedicated team monitoring rate parity violations. If a violation is spotted, the impacted supplier is notified. If the violation occurred within The Exchange, then the demand partner has a BRG violation listed in its Hotel Trader profile. This information is visible to all members of the exchange.
Not only does this information empower you to make decisions about who you want to work with on The Exchange it also changes the behavior of the demand partners themselves. They themselves work to improve their ratings. Transparency creates accountability, and accountability creates performance for everyone.

Are you an existing Hotel or Travel Buyer? Here's the most common questions we get asked...
Alignment Score is Hotel Trader’s proprietary metric that shows how easily a Travel Buyer can book a Hotel directly, and how closely what you intend to sell matches what buyers can actually buy. It exists to align Hotels’ desire for more direct revenue with Travel Buyers’ need for clean, accurate, reliable rates from the source.
It measures how “direct‑ready” a relationship is.
Every 48 hours, the platform scans the broader hospitality ecosystem to :
This makes Alignment Score a foundation of trust between Hotels and Travel Buyers… and trust drives conversion.
Whether it’s a promotional rate not mirrored on The Exchange, a rate leak appearing in an unintended channel or a misalignment in prices or availability, your Alignment Score will reflect that. Hotel Trader’s Alignment data helps pinpoint the issue and Hotel Trader’s team can help investigate, identify the root cause, and help you resolve issues quickly.
The higher your Alignment Score, the higher your chances of capturing direct bookings – alignment builds confidence, confidence drives conversion, and conversion increases revenue.
The system uses the rates the hotel supplies directly into The Exchange.
It checks, via API, whether the rate the hotel sends is showing up correctly on each partner’s shelf.
It also detects if a partner sources a cheaper rate elsewhere, which ties into overall alignment and parity tracking.
Always start with alignment. If your direct rate is being undercut, new demand partners won’t convert as expected.
Once optimal alignment is reached, a Hotel can target specific goals like off-season business, longer stays, or incremental distribution.
The Opportunity section shows who is searching but not booking and why.
